Medical Education & Training

Calcutta National Medical College offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty medical programs, maintaining the highest standards of medical education as prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Undergraduate Programs

The MBBS program at CNMC is a 5.5-year course (including one year of compulsory rotating internship) with an annual intake of 250 students. Admission is through the NEET-UG examination as per Government of India regulations. The curriculum integrates basic medical sciences with clinical exposure from the first year, emphasizing problem-based learning and community medicine.

Postgraduate Programs

CNMC offers MD/MS programs in 35 specialties with 180 seats annually, admission through NEET-PG. Super-specialty DM/MCh programs are offered in Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, and Pediatric Surgery. Our postgraduate training emphasizes research methodology, teaching skills, and ethical practice alongside clinical expertise.

International Collaborations

We have academic partnerships with Johns Hopkins Medicine (USA), Royal College of Physicians (London), and Singapore General Hospital for faculty/student exchange, joint research, and continuing medical education programs.
